Coach
Jacob Breckles
Born and raised in Canada, hockey has been my entire world since the age of three. I grew up immersed in the game, learning from some of the best minds, trainers and coaches in the sport and competing with—and against—top talent from a young age. Through those experiences, I’ve seen firsthand what it takes to reach the highest levels of the game... and what it takes to lose it all just as quickly, because I have lived it.
Today, I channel those lessons into my work with the next generation. I preach good habits on and off the ice, because becoming a great hockey player starts with becoming a disciplined, respectful, and attentive human being. My goal isn’t just to build better athletes—it’s to help shape strong individuals who carry the values of the game into every part of their lives.
Playing Career:
- 10 years of AAA hockey in Ontario (OMHA & GTHL)
- Drafted 5th Round 81st Overall to the Barrie Colts in the OHL Priority Selection

- Played last 2 seasons of Juniors for the Coburg Cougars & Wellington Dukes (OJHL)
winning championships and division titles (2018-19 Ranked 5th in Canada and
2019-2020 Ranked 2nd in Canada) - Accepted a scholarship to Adrian College (NCAA DIII) in Michigan at 19 becoming
the youngest player in program history - Won NCAA National Championship in 2022 along with 3 conference championships
COACH
NICK KENT
Bio: I grew up in Massachusetts where I played both forward/defense and goalie. After transitioning to goalie full time in High School, I pursued junior hockey in both the EHL and USPHL before eventually ending up playing in Northern Ontario. After junior hockey, I headed overseas where I played in the Czech Republic and eventually two seasons professionally in Southern Sweden!
Coaching: After playing overseas I moved home where I began assistant coaching my local High School, and started training goalies from 6U all the way through High School and Junior. Upon moving to Tampa I began working for the Lightning where I coach Learn to skate/Learn to play groups, our Sled hockey program, and coach a 12u SGHL Girls Travel team. Now I specialize in goalie coaching, as well as doing lessons for learn to skate/learn to play players!
